This Refund Policy explains how refund requests are handled for paid TextToPDF features, subscriptions, upgrades, and related document workflow services. It should be read together with our Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and any payment terms shown at checkout.
By purchasing a paid feature or subscription, you agree to this Refund Policy to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in this policy limits any consumer rights that cannot legally be waived in your country, state, or region.
Scope of This Policy
This policy applies to purchases made directly through TextToPDF.net for paid document tools, Pro features, subscription access, workflow history, advanced settings, or similar paid services.
If a purchase is made through a third party platform or marketplace, such as Google Play, Chrome Web Store, WordPress, an app store, or a payment provider checkout flow, that platform's own refund process, rules, and timing may also apply. Where required, you may need to request the refund through that provider instead of directly through TextToPDF.
Free Tools and Review Before Payment
TextToPDF provides free document tools and previews so users can test the workflow before paying for advanced features. Please review output carefully before downloading, upgrading, or using paid controls for important work.
PDF conversion, text extraction, OCR, and layout output can depend on file quality, formatting, browser behavior, scan clarity, and document structure. A paid plan improves control and workflow options, but it cannot guarantee perfect results for every file.
When Refunds May Be Approved
We may approve a refund when the request is reasonable, verified, and falls within one of the situations below.
- Duplicate charge: You were charged more than once for the same plan, billing period, or transaction.
- Failed activation: Your payment was captured, but the paid feature or subscription was not activated after a reasonable support review.
- Billing error: The amount charged was different from the amount shown at checkout or in your active plan details.
- Unresolved technical issue: A core paid feature did not work as described, and our support team could not resolve the issue within a reasonable time.
- Accidental renewal: You report an accidental subscription renewal within 7 days of the charge and there has been no meaningful paid usage after renewal.
- Legal requirement: A refund is required by applicable consumer protection law or payment provider rules.
Non Refundable Situations
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, refunds are generally not available in the situations below.
- You changed your mind after successfully using the paid feature, downloading output, exporting files, or consuming paid workflow access.
- You forgot to cancel a subscription before renewal and contacted us after the 7 day accidental renewal review window.
- The issue was caused by poor source file quality, blurry scans, handwriting, damaged PDFs, unsupported formats, or OCR limits after the tool operated normally.
- The problem was caused by your device, browser, network connection, third party extension, or a service outside our reasonable control.
- The account violated our Terms and Conditions, abused the service, attempted fraud, or created unusual refund patterns.
- You purchased through a third party marketplace that requires refunds to be handled through its own refund process.
Subscriptions, Cancellations, and Renewals
You may cancel a subscription before the next renewal date to stop future billing. Cancellation prevents future renewals but does not automatically refund charges that were already processed.
When a refund is approved for a subscription payment, access to paid features may be removed immediately or adjusted to reflect the refunded period. If no refund is approved, paid access may continue until the end of the current billing period, unless the account is restricted for misuse or legal reasons.
One Time Purchases, Credits, and Add Ons
If TextToPDF offers one time purchases, paid credits, or add ons, unused purchases may be reviewed case by case. Purchases that have already been used to process, export, download, or unlock paid output are generally not refundable unless required by law or caused by a verified billing error.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email support@texttopdf.net from the email address linked to your account or payment.
Please include the following details so we can review the request faster.
- Your account email address.
- Payment date and amount.
- Transaction ID, invoice ID, order ID, or payment receipt if available.
- The feature, plan, or tool related to the payment.
- A clear explanation of the issue.
- Screenshots or error details if the request is based on a technical problem.
We may ask for additional details to verify account ownership, payment status, usage, or the cause of the issue.
Review and Processing Time
We aim to review refund requests within 5 to 7 business days after receiving enough information. Complex technical, fraud, marketplace, or payment provider cases may take longer.
Approved refunds are normally returned to the original payment method when the payment provider supports that route. After we initiate an approved refund, the time it takes to appear in your account depends on your bank, card issuer, wallet, payment provider, and country. Some refunds can take several business days or longer to appear.
Payment processing fees, taxes, currency conversion charges, marketplace fees, and bank charges may be non refundable where the payment provider or applicable law allows that treatment.
Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us first so we can review the issue quickly. If you open a chargeback or payment dispute, access to the related paid features may be paused while the payment provider investigates.
We reserve the right to provide account, usage, billing, and communication records to the payment provider when responding to a dispute.
Abuse and Fraud Prevention
TextToPDF may refuse a refund request, suspend access, or close an account when we reasonably believe there is fraud, abuse, repeated refund misuse, unauthorized payment activity, violation of our Terms and Conditions, or an attempt to obtain paid services without payment.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time to reflect product, payment, legal, or operational changes. When we update the policy, we will revise the date at the top of this page.
